Key Responsibilities:
Welding & Production Duties:
* Perform welding on steel and aluminum components used in trailer manufacturing.
* Follow established welding procedures and safety standards to ensure strong, clean, and consistent welds.
* Maintain pace with production welding timelines and daily output goals.
* Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings.
* Inspect welds for quality and structural integrity; make corrections when necessary.
* Follow all company specifications and quality guidelines during fabrication and assembly processes.
* Load and unload trucks as needed, and keep good communication/record of what is coming in or going out the door.
Communication & Coordination:
* Maintain consistent and open communication with the Supervisor regarding job
progress, obstacles, or changes in priorities.
* Promptly notify the office when inventory or materials (e.g., welding wire, hardware, gases) are running low - before supplies run out.
* Coordinate with team members and other departments to ensure smooth production flow and minimize downtime.
* Accept and apply feedback from supervisors to improve performance and meet
company expectations.
Flexibility & Team Support:
* Be adaptable to shifting priorities and production needs; adjust focus and duties based on direction from supervisors.
* Assist in other areas such as Final Assembly or Prep as directed by supervisor.
* Keep work areas clean, safe, and organized at all times.
* Follow safety guidelines and standards.
Schedule / Work Hours:
* Work Hours: Monday to Friday, 6:00 AM - 2:30 PM
* Paid Break: 15-minute paid break from 9:15 AM - 9:30 AM
* Hours Per Week: 40 hours
* Overtime: Needs to be approved by supervisor
Skills & Requirements:
o Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
o Strong communication skills and ability to work as part of a team
o High attention to detail and commitment to safety and quality
o Self-motivated and able to follow instructions without constant supervision
o Ability to lift up to 50 lbs., stand for 8 hours.
