As a Security Guard - Access Control in Deer Park, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Chemical/Petrochemical, and more. As an Access Control professional with Allied Universal, you will play a vital role in monitoring entrances and exits at a chemical or petrochemical location. Your responsibilities will include conducting routine patrols, managing badge access, and maintaining a strong presence to help to deter security-related incidents. You will also deliver exceptional customer service and clear communication to all personnel and visitors. This is a driving post and requires a valid driver's license, offering an engaging environment where teamwork and integrity are valued every day.

What You'll Do:

• Control access to the chemical and petrochemical location by verifying credentials and monitoring entry and exit points for authorized personnel and visitors.
• Carry out security-related procedures and follow site-specific policies to maintain a secure environment.
• Assist with emergency response activities as required and interact with emergency personnel when needed.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting events as necessary.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the premises and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and report any observed irregularities.
• Provide customer service by assisting employees, visitors, and contractors with access and information as needed.
• Monitor surveillance equipment and report any unusual activity or security-related concerns to the appropriate personnel.

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid driver's license from the job state is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• A Transportation Worker Identification Credential issued by TSA is required.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Experience with access control and/or badge systems is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
