We are building an advanced AI platform that powers next-generation creative workflows for flagship products likePhotoshopandLightroom. As a Sr. Machine Learning Engineer, you will combine hands-on engineering with architectural leadership to design and implement reasoning systems, tool orchestration, and multimodal integrations using cutting-edge large language models (LLMs) and vision-language models (VLLMs).

In this role, you will:

  • Build core agent capabilities, including planning, memory, verification, and tool orchestration.
  • Integrate with multi-tenant runtimes across desktop, web, and mobile surfaces.

  • Partner with product and platform teams to deliver reliable, scalable, and delightful AI experiences for millions of users.

  • Evaluate and integrate multiple model providers, balancing quality, latency, and cost with strong observability.

  • Define practical evaluation approaches to ensure high-quality releases.

What you'll bring:

  • 8+ years building ML/AI or platform systems, including production experience with LLM/VLLM-backed features.
  • Strong software engineering skills in Python and TypeScript; experience with cloud services.

  • Proficiency in C++ is a big plus

  • Depth in agentic systems (planning, tool use, memory) and multimodal pipelines.

  • Passion for turning frontier AI into impactful products.

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several U.S. geographic markets, and we pay differently based on those defined markets. The U.S. pay range for this positionis $162,000 -- $301,200 annually. Paywithin this range varies by work locationand may also depend on job-related knowledge, skills,and experience. Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary range for the job location during the hiring process.

At Adobe, for sales roles starting salaries are expressed as total target compensation (TTC = base + commission), and short-term incentives are in the form of sales commission plans. Non-sales roles starting salaries are expressed as base salary and short-term incentives are in the form of the Annual Incentive Plan (AIP).

In addition, certain roles may be eligible for long-term incentives in the form of a new hire equity award.
