General Description: Reporting to the VP of IT, the Senior Enterprise HCM Manager is responsible for successfully aligning Corporate IT initiatives with Business Goals. The Senior Manager will lead a team of staff and consultants to oversee all People systems, primarily Oracle Cloud HCM suite of modules and Safety applications and initiatives. As a Senior Manager, this role is expected to work independently and provide consistent written communications for both IT Leadership and stakeholders. The person in this role must think tactically and strategically, and propose projects and delivery solutions that fit within corporate objectives. Other main areas of responsibility are managing Cyber Risk, partnering with other systems teams, and influencing prioritization of efforts. This position will work closely with HR leadership in maintaining and expanding HCM's capabilities and services to support a 7,000+ employee company with growth goals toward becoming a 15,000 employee company. This high-level system leadership role will be focused on delivering value to ACCO as an employee-owned company.

Essential duties and responsibilities:

May include, but not limited to the following:

  • Works well independently and has the communication skills to ensure all stakeholders understand and agree to the prioritization of effort.
  • Manage staff and consultants to ensure their efforts are focused on the most important priorities.
  • Provide documentation on complex initiatives when needed so issues and prioritizations are understood.
  • Promote best practices in systems implementation in Consulting, It and the business teams.
  • Mentor all Business Analysts, Systems Analysts and Developers in enterprise best practices.
  • Work directly with business leaders, managers, and users to gain a full understanding of issues as well as possible alternatives.
  • Formalize proposed change(s) to address the limitations of current practices. Define requirements and scope
  • Research alternatives that are in line with corporate objectives, particularly if the software is to be purchased or developed in-house or with external consultants.
  • Be a leader in promoting and preparing documentation including Charters, Business Requirements, ROI Analysis, Deployment Forms, User Documentation and Project Planning.
  • Acts as an embedded partner with the HR team to deliver value initiatives across the ACCO enterprise. Examples include continuing improvement in streamlining hiring and improving worker safety. Must be able to manage critical issues by understanding the problems and executing the appropriate solution.
  • Maintain and raise standards for quality processes and documentation of the HCM processes. Reduce technical waste by use of best practices such as wireframes, document controls and sign-offs.
  • Ability to identify and marshal resources (people, funding, support) to get projects initiated and completed.
  • Ability to influence a significant transformation in the business technology platforms.
  • Extensive knowledge of the enterprise technology landscape and ability to leverage that knowledge in delivering business outcomes with speed.
  • Update executives through both informal and formal communications on initiatives. This includes clear business outcomes, milestones and budgets. The goal is to strive for visibility and accountability.
  • Will be responsible for vendor management and the use of SOW's for clarity in scope, milestones and budget.
  • Must be able to keep confidential sensitive data regarding ACCO employees. Must stay current on ACCO Cyber Policies. Candidate must follow and promote ACCO best practices and statutory policies ( i.e. CCPA ) when handling sensitive data.
  • Other duties as assigned by the executive team.

Position Requirements (Skills, Work Experience, Education, Certifications, Licenses, etc.):

  • Ability to quickly adapt to new business teams. This includes leadership in acquisitions.
  • Understands and demonstrates appropriate discretion with sensitive information.
  • BS degree in Information Systems, Business Administration or equivalent combination of education and work experience.
  • Minimum 10 years of successful experience working with senior business managers.
  • Able to communicate effectively with all necessary parties throughout the project planning process.
  • Ability to manage resources within the project schedules and budgets.
  • Able to effectively lead and hold teams accountable. This includes but is not limited to acknowledging team member contribution, mentoring team members, and resolving conflicts.
  • Possesses understanding in the areas of application programming, database, and system design. Stays current with application best practices.
  • Able to demonstrate customer service skills.
  • Project management skills

  • Vendor and resource account management and negotiation
  • Experience in Fortune 100 companies and smaller startup companies.
  • Ability to lead a team through complex problems independently and to seek out and generate innovative solutions.
  • Demonstrated ability to mentor team members.
  • 5+ years of comparable experience in Oracle HCM
  • Experience with industry leading systems across:
    • Time Management
    • Human Capital Management
    • Employee Lifecycle Management

Hours: Monday to Friday 8:00 am to 5:00 pm

Competitive Wages:
$157,500 to $207,750 Annual Salary. Applicants please note that actual compensation is determined by several factors that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to job-related skills, depth of experience, certifications, relevant education or training, and specific work location, among others. The offered wage or salary is only one aspect of an employee's total compensation.
