The Opportunity: Unit Coordinator | Orthopaedics-White 6
White 6 is a 30-bed unit with the clinical specialty being orthopaedics and Oral Maxillofacial/Medical. The population of patients includes elective total joint replacement, trauma, and orthopedic oncology.

Schedule

- (4) 8-hour Day shifts - 7am - 3pm

- 32 hours per week

- Rotational holiday and weekend schedule

What are we looking for

As a Unit Coordinator, you will play a critical role in patient care by serving as the central source of information by communicating with patients, families, and medical staff. You will transcribe medical charts for patients to ensure that all their medical treatments and procedures are carried out. The position requires a high degree of accuracy and strong communications skills.

*Effective coordinators who can arrange for patient services between multiple departments

*Effective customer service orientation and the ability to interact with diverse groups of patients, staff and providers.

*Demonstrated ability to solve basic patient and practice problems using a combination of strong interpersonal and communication skills, attention to detail and superior organizational skills.

* Preferred: Associate degree; 1-year clinical experience

* Required: High School diploma or GED required; Must have at least 1 year of customer service experience; Computer skills necessary (word, excel, and ability to learn MGH systems)
