As a Security Officer - Access Control - Full Time in Elmsford, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. As a member of the Allied Universal team, you will play a vital role in access control at a logistics and distribution location. Your responsibilities will include monitoring entrances, verifying credentials, and conducting routine patrols to help deter security-related incidents. Providing excellent customer service and clear communication is essential, as you support a secure environment for everyone onsite. This position requires driving as part of your daily duties. What You'll Do:

• Monitor and control access points at the logistics and distribution location to help to deter unauthorized entry and/or exit.
• Verify identification and credentials of individuals entering or exiting the location in alignment with site-specific policies and procedures.
• Provide customer service by assisting visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel with access-related inquiries and guidance.
• Carry out security-related procedures and maintain accurate logs of all access control activities, including visitor sign-ins and vehicle entries.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations related to access control in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating issues as needed per Allied Universal protocols.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the facility and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activities and identify any unusual conditions.
• Support emergency response activities as directed by site-specific policies and Allied Universal guidelines.
• Collaborate with site personnel and Allied Universal supervisors to communicate access control concerns and/or observations.

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Loss prevention experience is preferred.
• Experience in a primarily driving post is preferred.
• Access control or badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
