We are seeking a skilled and experienced Sr. PM to join our Project Management Office within the Strategy, Marketing, and Operations team. The Sr. PM will support the Director in monitoring the intake of projects, ensuring alignment with FY Priorities, helping to assign project manager(s) for support, and monitoring/controlling all PMO projects from initiation through completion. The Sr. PM is expected to play a consultative role, assisting project managers, leaders, and project teams with risk mitigation and action plans, mentoring Project Managers, and leading the most complex projects for the organization. The Sr. PM will possess exceptional communication, organization, and planning skills, as well as strong business acumen. Key Responsibilities
General Project Management: Leads teams in the execution of SCS FY priority initiatives; develops and maintains project plans and archives them appropriately; schedules appropriate project meetings and ensures materials are prepared for each (i.e. project plans, RAIDE log, meeting minutes, Steering Committee decks); aligns stakeholders at all levels to progress them through successful implementation of initiatives/projects. Senior-Level Project Management: Leads the most complex projects within the PMO and anticipates change in order to direct or redirect efforts appropriately. Aligns with Key Stakeholders on major project decisions, including change management activities and action plans. Consultative Project Management: Provides subject matter expertise in the development of plans for new products, pilots, business, and collaboration projects; consults regularly with Leadership on major decisions of the project (RAIDE); guides PMO team members through risk mitigation and critical path decisions on projects. Portfolio Management: Supports the Director in maintaining the portfolio of projects for the PMO, including driving the weekly dashboard updates; maintains in-house PMO systems, processes, templates, and trackers to ensure they are up-to-date and closely mirror Project Management Institute (PMI) standards; supports the development of operational improvements and ongoing management of tools for resource forecasting, portfolio visibility and stakeholder communication. Team Lead: Acts as the Lead PM for the PMO team; mentors Project Managers on development, especially for those seeking their PMP certification. Special Projects: Assists Director on priority initiatives where there is high sensitivity of information, or multiple segments/business units involved on the project team which need a higher level of coordination; manages other projects as designated.
Minimum Requirement
- Degree or equivalent and typically requires 7+ years of relevant experience.
- 4-year degree required
- Advanced degree in Health Care Services, Health Care Administration or MBA preferred, or equivalent professional experience preferred
Certification
- PMP Certification required or close to completion
Critical Skills
7+ years of Healthcare and/or Pharmacy Industry experience 7+ years of project management and process improvement experience Strong project management experience in developing project plans and proven track record of project management success with projects of various scope Strong executive presence with experience developing and delivering executive level presentations Demonstrated ability to motivate, influence and gain commitment at all levels of the organization Demonstrated ability to understand complex business problems and create a program to support solutions and compliance PC Skills: Expertise in Microsoft Office Tools (Excel, Word, Project, PowerPoint, Visio); Smartsheets and PowerBI is a plus
Additional Knowledge & Skills
