What you'll do

We are seeking a highly organized and operationally efficient Early Careers Recruiter to join our dynamic Early Careers team, onsite in Tempe, AZ.

You will be instrumental in attracting, engaging, and hiring top early talent for Viasat globally. This role involves full-cycle recruitment, scaling global programs (internships/graduate development), building university relationships, and driving brand awareness to attract the next generation of our workforce.

Reporting to the Early Careers Manager, you must be a skilled problem-solver capable of balancing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Strong relationship-building with candidates, peers, and business leaders is essential for success.


The day-to-day

  • Conduct full cycle recruitment of 200+ global interns and full time hires annually, including attracting talent, sourcing, conducting recruiter phone screen interviews, liaising with hiring teams, and managing the offer process.
  • Play a key role in the delivery of Viasat's internship and graduate development programs, including onboarding, networking events, mentor program, performance management, and learning and development.
  • Partner across the organization with hiring managers, candidates, business leaders, talent partners, finance, business partners, culture & inclusion, social impact, and executives.
  • Lead university engagement and coordinate campus events to strengthen Viasat's employer brand and attract top talent.
  • Drive innovation of processes through AI and automation by identifying opportunities and implementing.
  • Drive forecasting and strategy sessions with the business, focusing on building a talent pipeline through intern conversion.
  • Plan, execute, and attend events such as career fairs, office tours, and new-hire networking gatherings.
  • Execute on complex recruitment workflows in ATS and CRM systems.

What you'll need

  • 3+ years of experience in talent acquisition.
  • Bachelor's degree or higher in business, human resources, communications, psychology or a related field.
  • Proven experience in Early Career recruitment and large scale program management.
  • Ability to work onsite at Tempe, AZ location 3 days/week.
  • Event planning and execution.
  • Strong data interpretation skills, with excellent communication and presentation abilities.
  • Willingness to travel up to 10%.

Salary range

$85,000.00 - $134,000.00 / annually.
For specific work locations within San Jose, the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, the base pay range for this role is $95,000.00- $143,000.00/ annually
