This role sits within ABB's Robotics business, a leading global robotics company. We're entering an exciting new chapter as we've announced the plan for SoftBank Group to acquire ABB Robotics. This Position reports to:

Global Sales Manager Digital & Software

The right candidate will develop an effective (business area/division/product group) sales strategy within the specified market scope (global/regional) and maintains it, to improve ABB's market penetration and realize growth aspirations. Defines, plans, leads, and ensures the execution of sales strategy to achieve both qualitative and quantitative sales targets for products, systems, and/or services to ensure sustainable order growth, revenue, profitability, market share, sales productivity, and customer satisfaction. Monitors sales performance, proactively, ensuring the development and implementation of corrective actions to secure business growth when needed. Leads, develops, and coaches the Sales organization (other sales managers and sales specialists within scope) to achieve the sales targets, through high performance.

Can be based in the US or Canada.

Key Responsibilities

  • Monitors the sales performance proactively, ensuring the development and implementation of corrective actions to secure business growth, when needed.

  • Creates, executes and manages event plans in-region to ensure visibility and customer focus on S&D product portfolio.

  • Defines key digital sales targets and establishes appropriate metrics and measurement tools to monitor the performance.

  • Anticipates and identifies the shortfalls in regional performance and takes appropriate remedial actions, proactively. Drives top line growth.

  • Identifies and evaluates new opportunities with existing and potential customers, determines plans for implementation, and allocates required resources.

  • Identifies and manages potential risks (including cybersecurity) related to contract agreements across customers/channels.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field and 12+ years of related work/military experience required.

  • 5+ years of experience in software sales.

  • Experience with portfolio management and business strategy.

  • Experience selling technical/B2B software i.e. EMS system software, engineering or automation software is preferred.

  • Up to 75% travel may be expected.

Responsabilites principales

  • Surveiller de maniere proactive la performance des ventes et veiller a la mise en uvre d'actions correctives pour assurer la croissance du chiffre d'affaires, au besoin.

  • Creer, executer et gerer les plans d'evenements dans la region afin d'assurer la visibilite et de renforcer l'attention des clients sur le portefeuille de produits S&D.

  • Definir les principaux objectifs de ventes numeriques et etablir les indicateurs et outils de mesure appropries pour suivre la performance.

  • Anticiper et identifier les ecarts de performance regionale, et prendre les mesures correctives appropriees de maniere proactive. Contribuer a la croissance du chiffre d'affaires.

  • Identifier et evaluer de nouvelles opportunites aupres des clients existants et potentiels, determiner les plans de mise en uvre et allouer les ressources necessaires.

  • Identifier et gerer les risques potentiels (y compris les risques de cybersecurite) lies aux contrats avec les clients et les canaux de distribution.

Qualifications

  • Baccalaureat dans un domaine pertinent etau moins 12 ans d'experience professionnelle ou militaire connexe.

  • Minimum 5 ans d'experience en ventes de logiciels.

  • Experience engestion de portefeuilleet enstrategie d'affaires.

  • Experience en vente delogiciels techniques/B2B(par ex. logiciels de systemes EMS, logiciels d'ingenierie ou d'automatisation) - un atout.

  • Disponibilite a voyager jusqu'a 75 %.
