Research Triangle Park | Where People + Ideas Converge

RTP is the largest research park in the United States and houses hundreds of companies, including science and technology firms, government agencies, academic institutions, startups and nonprofits.

The Reporting Manager will lead the centralization and delivery of executive reporting and key performance indicators (KPIs) across the U.S. Commercial organization. This role will oversee the design, development, and maintenance of Power BI dashboards and reports that drive visibility, consistency, and data-driven decision-making.

This individual will serve as the primary point of contact for reporting standards, ensuring accuracy, quality, and consistency of metrics across Commercial teams. The Reporting Manager will also oversee Sales Operations data reporting, collaborating with internal data teams to ensure alignment between data engineering, reporting, and Field Sales efforts.

Key Responsibilities

Reporting & Dashboard Delivery

  • Lead the design, build, and maintenance of Power BI dashboards for executive and operational reporting.

  • Define, document, and standardize KPIs across business domains to support a single source of truth.

  • Partner with data engineering and analytics teams to ensure data pipelines and models meet reporting needs.

  • Oversee Sales Operations reporting, including data quality checks, metric alignment, and dashboard automation.

  • Conduct periodic KPI reviews to adjust definitions, thresholds, and business rules as needed.

  • Enable self-service reporting by implementing scalable templates and governance practices.

Sales Operations Data & Quality

  • Oversee Sales Operations data management, ensuring data quality, monitoring, and reporting standards are consistent with the Commercial Organization.
  • Collaborate with data owners to maintain KPI inventories and ensure dashboard reporting remains accurate for Sales Operations reporting.
  • Drive adoption of standardized Sales Operations reporting processes across DS&O and FSO functions.

Leadership & Collaboration

  • Provide hands-on development in Power BI, SQL, and Excel while mentoring junior team members.
  • Collaborate closely with Commercial, Market Access, and Patient Access teams to ensure consistent reporting delivery.
  • Support leadership with ad hoc reporting needs and executive-level data presentations.
Basic Qualifications

We are looking for professionals with these required skills to achieve our goals:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Data Analytics, Computer Science, or related field.

  • 6+ years of experience in reporting, business intelligence, or data management roles.

  • Experience with Power BI, SQL, and Excel.

  • Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional reporting initiatives and manage stakeholder expectations.

  • Excellent communication and data storytelling skills - able to translate technical outputs into actionable insights for non-technical audiences.

Preferred Qualifications

If you have the following characteristics, it would be a plus:

  • Experience managing KPI frameworks or executive reporting portfolios.
  • Understanding of CRM and commercial systems, such as Salesforce, Veeva CRM, or SAP, and how they integrate into reporting pipelines.
  • Exposure to commercial or sales data (pharma experience a plus but not required).

  • Consistent, automated, and well-governed reporting ecosystem across key business domains.
  • Improved dashboard adoption and reduced manual reporting effort.
  • Clearly defined and trusted KPI framework used across teams.
  • Strong partnership between DS&O, data engineering, and business teams to deliver reliable, high-impact reports.
