What to Expect

The Workplace Culinary Supervisor is responsible for day-to-day culinary operations, staff supervision and leadership of cafe operations at Gigafactory Nevada. This customer facing role will be instrumental in the successful daily processing of culinary products to support our Nevada campus locations.A successful supervisor will thrive in a fast-paced environment, is outgoing and approachable, leverages strong customer service and problem-solving skills and has the aptitude to juggle priorities while exuding the Tesla mission in all facets. What You'll Do
  • People leader position responsible for recruitment, onboarding, training, coaching, schedules, succession planning and performance evaluations up to and including corrective action and terminations of non-exempt staff. Support the supervision of team on varying shift schedules
  • Help to guide the development and personal growth for all direct reports, including performance reviews
  • Maintain up to date Standard Operating Procedures (SOP's) for effective staff training, business management, Inventory management, and distribution of culinary products in a customer service-oriented manner
  • Develop effective communication strategies to notify associates of new policies, processes, and updates
  • Collaborates with Manager, Culinary Program Manager, and all other supporting teams to understand needs for culinary program
  • Maintain consistent accurate inventory and places orders with Manager approval in an appropriate time frame and ensuring accurate delivery
  • Participates in meetings with stakeholders, vendors, and suppliers upon reques

What You'll Bring
  • Proficient in MS Office software (Word, Excel, Power Point)
  • Demonstrates personal integrity, accountability, leadership and is above reproach
  • Demonstrated history of utilizing strong organizational and communication skills when communicating with employees and senior leadership
  • Prior food service supervisory background highly encouraged
  • Able to sit, stand or squat for long periods of time. Ability to lift, push or pull up to 50 lbs.
  • Ability to work weekends and nights as needed
  • Must be customer service oriented, accurate, self-motivated, and be able to use time efficiently. Must have strong interpersonal skills and be able to direct and motivate staff to provide excellent customer service to our internal and external customers
