Grounds Crew

As part of the Grounds Department of the Milwaukee Brewers in Phoenix, AZ, the Grounds Crew will assist with the overall maintenance and care of the grounds at the Phoenix facility consisting of major and minor league playing fields, surrounding common turf areas and plant stock.

Core duties for this role include, but are not limited to:

Set-up and breakdown of batting practice equipment. Entails: taking screens, portable cage, mats, turf protector on and off the fields.
• Pre-game and post-game field preparations. Entails: dragging, raking, painting foul lines before games, dragging, raking, and packing mound, home plates and bullpens, with new clay after games.
• Perform daily maintenance tasks, consisting of mowing, edging, sod work and seeding, infield maintenance, clay repair, moisture management on all surfaces.

Candidates must possess a High School Diploma or GED; and three to six months related experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

This team directly impacts the impression of our facilities ensuring MLB standards of field playability and player safety, as well as assisting in the execution of special events, while minimizing impact to the playing surface.
