KPMG is currently seeking an AI Architect to join our Audit Technology Alliance organization.

Responsibilities:
  • Define and own the end-to-end technical vision and strategic architectural roadmap for our generative AI product suite, ensuring alignment with the firm's long-term audit transformation goals
  • Architect highly scalable and resilient microservice-based solutions, making critical design decisions regarding LLM integration, advanced context engineering, and data processing pipelines
  • Collaborate closely with product leadership, data scientists, and engineering directors to translate complex business requirements into a cohesive and executable technical strategy, fostering a culture of cross-functional alignment
  • Champion architectural excellence and uncompromising quality by establishing advanced design patterns, mandating rigorous evaluation frameworks using tools like LangSmith, and pioneering the adoption of new AI agent and orchestration technologies
  • Provide strategic leadership and mentorship to a team of architects and senior engineers, guiding them in solving the most challenging technical problems and fostering their professional growth within the organization
  • Drive innovation by continuously evaluating emerging technologies in the generative AI space, leading proof-of-concept initiatives, and defining the future state of our AI-driven audit solutions to maintain our competitive edge
  • Act with integrity, professionalism, and personal responsibility to uphold KPMG's respectful and courteous work environment
Qualifications:
  • Minimum fifteen years of recent experience in technology, with a significant portion dedicated to designing and delivering large-scale, enterprise-grade software and AI systems
  • Master's degree from an accredited college or university in computer science, engineering, or a related technical field or a Ph.D. is highly desirable; a minimum of a Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university is required
  • Expert-level knowledge in designing solutions with Large Language Models (LLMs) from providers like Azure OpenAI and Google Cloud, modern AI frameworks (LangChain/LangGraph, Semantic Kernel), and advanced RAG pipelines.
  • Proven experience architecting and deploying complex, scalable applications using a microservices architecture on cloud-native platforms, specifically Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS), KEDA, and asynchronous service bus technologies
  • Deep expertise in modern software development lifecycle (SDLC) practices within an Agile framework, including mastery of Azure DevOps, Git, and building robust CI/CD pipelines for enterprise-level systems
  • Exceptional strategic thinking, problem-solving, and communication skills, with a demonstrated ability to articulate a complex technical vision to both executive leadership and deep technical audiences
