Job Title: Low Voltage Apprentice Location: East Hartford, CT (On-site) Employment Type: Full-time, Apprenticeship Industry: Commercial Office Furniture / Workspace Solutions About the Role We are seeking a motivated individual with a strong work ethic and positive attitude to join our team as a Low Voltage Apprentice. This role supports a leading commercial office furniture company that specializes in creating innovative workspace solutions. If you're coming from a trade school or looking to break into the industry, this is your chance to gain hands-on experience and build a long-term career. Primary Duties and Accountabilities As a Low Voltage Apprentice, you will: * Assist with installing low voltage systems, including structured cabling and AV components, in commercial office environments. * Work alongside experienced technicians to learn best practices and technical skills. * Perform physically demanding tasks such as pulling cable, terminating connections, and setting up equipment. * Maintain a safe, organized work area and follow company standards. * Demonstrate a willingness to learn and take initiative every day. Required Skills & Qualifications * High school diploma or equivalent; trade school background strongly preferred. * Strong work ethic and positive attitude-attitude matters most! * Ability to perform physical tasks (lifting, bending, climbing ladders). * Reliable transportation to East Hartford, CT. * Interest in technology and hands-on work. Preferred Skills * Familiarity with hand tools and power tools. * Any prior experience in construction, electrical, or furniture installation is a plus. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of East Hartford, CT. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $17.00 - $20.00/hr.
