Job Overview

The Senior Manager, Pricing Strategy serves in a strategic role, shaping pricing strategies and priorities across multiple businesses in both stores and online. The position reports to the Director of Pricing and collaborates closely to ensure alignment on enterprise-wide pricing direction.

The Senior Manager, Pricing Strategy provides insights that guide decision-making, capitalize on business opportunities, and enhance profitability across diverse categories. Operating at the intersection of multiple functions, this role partners with Divisional Merchandise Managers and business leaders within the assigned area, building trust and influencing merchant partners effectively.

The Senior Manager, Pricing Strategy also collaborates with Marketing, Financial Planning, Technology, and Stores teams to ensure a cohesive and integrated approach. In addition to driving sales and informing future strategy, the role identifies and implements process improvements that strengthen the broader pricing and merchant organization, supporting efficiency and sustainable business growth.

What You Will Do



  • Use data analytics to generate insights that guide pricing decisions.
  • Provide clear direction on pricing, including customer-facing messages, price-point vs. percent-off strategies, and coupon inclusions/exclusions.
  • Lead event architecture discussions, addressing price clarity, breadth, depth, and key item penetrations.
  • Partner with Financial Planning pre-season and in-season to evaluate discount rates and permanent markdown needs.
  • Work with merchant teams to inform competitive pricing strategies through current-state and forward-looking analyses.
  • Contribute insights to Personalized Offers (PZO), loyalty categories, and one-day-only deal discussions.
  • Maintain strong execution understanding through regular floor walks and close store partnerships.
  • Compare actual results to projections to assess pricing effectiveness and recommend adjustments.
  • Participate in seasonal strategy meetings with Divisional Merchandise Managers (DMMs), providing insights to identify high-level opportunities.
  • Support cleanup and simplification of coupon templates across events to improve customer clarity and promotional efficiency.
  • Assist in developing and implementing dynamic pricing to increase utilization and enhance recommendations.
  • Share insights on process improvements to strengthen current and future workflows.
  • Track seasonal selling via C-1s, providing pricing input to ensure profitable product life cycles.
  • Review business performance by channel and bucket, highlighting strengths and opportunities.
  • Monitor pricing competitiveness and flag items where price matching may not be profitable.
  • Track inventory currency and identify areas for improvement.
  • Maintain regular, dependable attendance and punctuality.
  • Foster an environment of acceptance and respect that strengthens relationships, and ensures authentic connections with colleagues, customers, and communities.

Skills You Will Need

Financial Business Acumen: Ability to understand and analyze financial aspects to make informed strategic decisions.

Retail Strategy and Tactics: In-depth knowledge of market trends, customer behaviors, and competitive landscapes.

Leadership: Capability to lead through influence, fostering collaboration and building trust with a focus on achieving results.

Change Management: Comfort and effectiveness in leading teams through change ensuring successful adaptation.

Communication Skills: Effective communication with candor, valuing open debate to bring the best ideas to life.

Who You Are



  • Candidates with a bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience in a related field are encouraged to apply. 3-5 years of related experience.
  • Regularly required to sit, talk, hear; use hands/fingers to touch, handle, and feel. Occasionally required to move about the workplace and reach with hands and arms. Requires close vision.
  • Able to work a flexible schedule based on department and company needs.
