Location: Silverdale, Washington (Bangor)

Type: Exempt

Work Schedule: Full-time

Compensation: $115,350.00 -$121,832.07/annually (Tessera's compensation strategy is to position new employees between the minimum and midpoint of this range, depending on qualifications and experience.)

Tessera is seeking a dedicated and experienced HVAC Supervisor with a positive, professional, can-do, and helpful attitude. The HVAC Supervisor's primary duty is to serve as the subject matter expert and manage the total work effort associated with the operation, sustainment, restoration, and modernization of HVAC/R, Chiller, Air Compressor, and DDC equipment and systems-including the review and approval of contractor plans and procedures.

The HVAC Supervisor is responsible for the successful performance of the mission, customer satisfaction, and the welfare of their employees while continually improving the efficiency of the operations. The success of this position will draw from Tessera's leadership competencies: Mission and Values: Safety Leadership; Operations Excellence; Customer Service; and Servant Leadership.

Typical duties include but are not limited to:

  • Oversees the installation, maintenance, and repair of heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems, ensuring they operate efficiently and meet safety standards

  • Assigning tasks, scheduling work, and overseeing the quality of work performed by HVAC technicians.

  • May be involved in budgeting, project planning, and staff training

  • Planning preventative maintenance, responding to work orders, and coordinating repairs of HVAC equipment.

  • Diagnosing and resolving issues with HVAC systems and components.

  • Conduct regular inspections of HVAC systems to identify potential problems and ensure compliance with regulations.

  • Identifying training needs, providing guidance, and ensuring technicians are up-to-date on the latest technologies and safety practices.

  • Ensuring all work is performed in accordance with safety regulations and building codes.

  • Maintaining inventory of parts and supplies, ordering replacements as needed, and managing budgets for these items

  • Responds to customer inquiries and complaints.

Qualifications:

  • Highschool Diploma/GED is required; Associate degree preferred.

  • Minimum of 5 years' experience In HVCAC or Industrial Facilities Maintenance.

  • Successful completion of an HVAC/R and DDC apprentice program or equivalent trade school training, education and experience that provides training and experience with maintenance, repair and operation of: DDC systems, cooling towers, fan coils systems, closed loop water treatment, industrial HVAC/R systems and air balancing.

  • Journeyman Level Heating Ventilation and Air Conditioning and Refrigeration (HVAC/R).

  • HVAC EPA Universal refrigerant handling license (certified to work with all CFC, HCFC and HFC refrigerants) and shall possess a Washington State EL6A specialty electrician license or equivalent or obtain this license within one year of employment.

  • Certified Reliability Leader (CRL) or Certified Facility Manager (CFM); Tessera requires this certification within two years of employment.

  • OSHA 30-Hour Training for Construction and General Industry

Physical Requirements:

Employees must have the ability to perform the following physical demands for extended periods of time with or without assistance. The physical demands of this position may be reasonably accommodated for individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions on a case-by-case basis.

  • Must be able to lift and/or move up to pounds.

  • May be required to reach, kneel, walk, stand, and use repetitive motion for several hours at a time based on position duties.

  • Work may require repetitive motion, reaching, lifting, kneeling, and walking. Standing or sitting for several hours at a time, climbing in and out of a vehicle, and up and down stairs may also be required.

  • Must have the perseverance to work effectively under pressure for extended periods of time.

  • A valid state driver's license is required with the ability to obtain and maintain coverage by Tessera's insurance.
