Location: Silverdale, Washington (Bangor)

Type: Exempt

Work Schedule: Full-Time

Compensation: $115,350.00-$121,832.07/annually (Tessera's compensation strategy is to position new employees between the minimum and midpoint of this range, depending on qualifications and experience.)

Tessera is seeking a proficient and knowledgeable Grounds/Structural Supervisor to join our team. In this role, you'll oversee the upkeep and maintenance of grounds, buildings, and structures, ensuring they remain safe, functional, and compliant. You will lead maintenance crews, coordinate repair projects, and make sure all work meets quality and contract requirements.

Productivity, workplace safety, customer satisfaction, and the team's success is dependent on the leadership team position's efforts. Typical duties include but are not limited to:

  • Promotes a world-class safety culture through leadership engagement, risk management, training, and positive safety behaviors.

  • Focuses on continuous improvement, operational excellence, and preventing complacency.

  • Contract Management: Understands and manages contract requirements; briefs customers and resolves issues.

  • Operational Excellence: Uses data and BI tools to improve performance metrics (capacity, on-time completion, quality, customer satisfaction).

  • Change Management: Implements change effectively and communicate the "why" clearly to staff.

  • Supervises repair and maintenance of painted surfaces, fencing, concrete, asphalt, roads, swales, culverts, drainage ditches, and snow removal.

  • Communicates directly with customers; addresses inquiries, complaints, and additional repair needs.

  • Ensures all work meets quality control standards.

  • Identifies and resolves problems proactively.

  • Oversee scheduler to track repair status and completion dates.

  • Maintains clean, safe, and orderly environments.

  • Ensures contract compliance and timely correction of QC inspection issues.

  • Trains employees in work methods and quality standards.

  • Prepares and maintains reports (schedules, attendance, training, evaluations, documentation, timekeeping, accident reports).

  • Organizes, schedules, and leads personnel for Maximo work orders and projects; closes completed work orders with required billing details.

Qualifications:

  • Highschool Diploma/GED required. Associates degree preferred.

  • 0-3 Years experience in facilities maintenance.

  • An equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.

  • Knowledge of painting, carpentry, plumbing, masonry, roofing systems, and electrical work.

  • Ability to perform manual labor for extended periods of time, occasionally in adverse weather.

  • Ability to lead a team of trade professionals.

  • Experience in all areas of general contracting/maintenance preferred.

  • Ability to work in a variety of different environments, including inclement weather and high places.

Physical Requirements:

Employees must have the ability to perform the following physical demands for extended periods of time with or without assistance. The physical demands of this position may be reasonably accommodated for individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions on a case-by-case basis.

  • Must be able to lift and/or move up to 70 pounds.

  • May be required to reach, kneel, walk, stand, and use repetitive motion for several hours at a time based on position duties.

  • Work may require repetitive motion, reaching, lifting, kneeling, and walking. Standing or sitting for several hours at a time, climbing in and out of a vehicle, and up and down stairs may also be required.

  • Must have the perseverance to work effectively under pressure for extended periods of time.

Requirements:

  • A valid state driver's license is required with the ability to obtain and maintain coverage by Tessera's insurance.
