Description
SUMMARY

The Production Supervisor is responsible for overseeing all production operations of the converting and/or corrugated department as assigned. The Supervisor ensures efficiency, safety, and quality standards are met during the shift, applicable procedures are followed, and that production personnel are trained.


DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Assist the Manufacturing Services, Senior Manager in the day-to-day operation of assigned shifts and departments, ensuring production processes run smoothly and efficiently through proper employee scheduling and machine assignments, training, and quality checks.
  2. Conduct regular inspections and audits to identify areas for improvement. Proactively communicate any machine, facility, or production concerns observed to the plant management team.
  3. Address and resolve any operational issues that arise during the shift, collaborating with management to implement solutions and optimize workflows.
  4. Coordinate with production scheduling to ensure company production goals and customer delivery requirements are met.
  5. Ensure all plant rules and procedures are adhered to and promptly report concerns to the Manufacturing Services, Senior Manager for resolution.
  6. Serve as a back-up operator, operating assigned machines as required to maintain production output and goal attainment
  7. Provide real time coaching on the production floor to drive efficiency, productivity and high-quality manufacturing. Act as a mentor to junior employees.
  8. Maintain a positive working relationship with members of the team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and skill advancement.
  9. Lead basic troubleshooting of machine errors and assist maintenance in complex repairs as required
  10. Special projects and assignments as business dictates
  11. Responsible for the maintenance, creation and control of all personally identifiable information or any other information protected by any Confidentiality or Privacy Standards or Company Policies that you have access or knowledge of, including but not limited to any state or federal regulations including HIPAA.


SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • There are no supervisory responsibilities for this role


SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or Management preferred
  • 4+ years' experience in a manufacturing or warehouse environment required
  • Prior experience in a lead or supervisor role preferred
  • Prior experience as a machine operator preferred
  • Familiarity with manufacturing processes, quality control, and safety regulations
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Effective problem-solving skills
  • Must have attention to detail and focused concentration.
  • Must be able to make timely decisions in the context of the workflow.
  • Must be able to complete tasks that require a particular speed or productivity quota.
  • Must be able to adhere to process protocol and must be able to apply established protocols in a timely manner.



PHYSICAL DEMANDS

  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus
