Job Summary: The Sr Maintenance Mechanic is responsible for maintenance of all equipment and facilities at the distribution center, with an emphasis on the conveyor and sorter systems. Responsibilities:
- Performs routine and preventive maintenance for all warehouse and office equipment to ensure proper operating conditions. Equipment includes conveyors, racking, lighting, security, forklifts, material handling equipment, fire protection, and plumbing systems.
- Maintains logs of all preventive and breakdown maintenance performed on conveyors, forklifts, and fire-protection systems.
- Performs light janitorial duties and other duties as assigned.
- Completes tasks assigned by maintenance supervisor/manager. Ensures that all tasks are completed in a safe, timely, and correct manner.
- Frequently lifts and carries up to 40 lbs.
- Maintains positive open lines of communication with all management, staff, and other departments in order to contribute to the smooth flow of information and efficient operation of the organization.
- 5% Performs other duties as assigned.
Additional Requirements: * High School Diploma or equivalent experience. Some positions may require 2+ years of technical training. * Typically requires 5+ years of related experience. * High school education or equivalent * 5-7 years experience maintaining warehouse equipment required. * Possess good working knowledge of practices regarding hazard communication, chemical usage, material safety data sheets, lock out/tag out, emergency evacuation procedures and emergency generation procedures * Possess intermediate computer skills * Ability to read, write, and speak English * Mental ability to conduct interpersonal interactions with company personnel * Possess good verbal communications skills * Physical ability to climb stairs and ladders, climb stairs and use ladders, sit and stand for extended periods of time, and regularly lift/carry up to 40 pounds * Ability to use a variety of hand and powered tools, and possess an aptitude for mechanics Ability to move freely through the distribution center * Ability to cope with a stressful work environment and cordially interact with coworkers to accomplish common tasks * Travel: None * Work Schedule: Standard Hours

Work Environment: Distribution Center Other Work Environment Requirements: Distribution Center: Typical warehouse environment, regularly works around moving mechanical parts in conditions that include exposure to heat, cold, dust, odors/fumes, noise. May operate computer, other equipment/tools or powered warehouse equipment. Other Physical Requirements: DC: Requires ability to be continuously stationary or moving about, communicate with others to exchange information; Frequently adjust/move items up to 50 lbs.; Occasionally operate vehicle/equipment.
