At Hilti, our Business Developers drive the expansion of new markets and opportunities. In this role, you'll develop and execute account strategies for large, complex customers, building multi-level relationships and securing specifications for key projects. Acting as the primary contact for major accounts, you'll negotiate agreements, coordinate global resources, and influence stakeholders to create long-term value. This is a high-impact, autonomous role where strategy meets execution and results stand the test of time.


What You'll do
  • Lead the development of assigned large/complex accounts operating across key business segments through account standardization, project specification, sales development (direct or indirect) and multi-level relationship management
  • Responsible for multiple large/complex National hierarchies with annual sales volume >$20M
  • Accountable for supporting development of the long-term strategy of the assigned accounts, supports implementation
  • Responsible for YoY profit growth of assigned accounts
  • Ownership of the accounts project pipeline and proactive build-up with capture teams to drive the aligned focus projects and increase share of wallet
  • Maintains effective communication throughout the team and company.
  • Develops local opportunity pipeline
  • Works with operational teams, designers, engineers, project team members and departments to ensure customer partnership success
  • Self-driven and working autonomously to create own planning and tasks to reach targets
  • Able to influence internal and external stakeholders
  • Project Management capabilities to manage complexity of system selling across C-suite customers
  • Accountable for local sales development (direct or indirect) through specifications, long-term relationship build-up, and execution of account strategy


What You'll Bring
  • Bachelor of Science in Sales, Marketing, Management, Engineering, required
  • Ten (10) years' Hilti sales experience or equivalent outside sales, required
  • Lean Explorer certified, preferred
  • Hilti Leadership experience or equivalent, required
  • Civil or Structural Engineering degree, preferred
  • Professional Project Management certification, preferred

Working Conditions:

Work is performed in jobsite conditions, which may include working at high elevations.
Up to 75% travel depending on the location of projects and offices.
Adverse Working Conditions:
  • Job requires walking on construction sites and uneven surfaces, as well as climbing scaffolding, ladders, and stairs during all seasons of the year
  • Depending on geography employees may be exposed to adverse heat or cold
  • Construction jobsites may also expose specialists to excessively loud noises; ear protection is strongly encouraged and may be required on some jobsites
Safety Equipment Required:
  • Hardhat, safety vest, safety glasses, gloves, steel toe boots, and long pants required for working jobsites; must observe and abide by any and all safety regulations as required by Hilti, Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA), and General Contractors
Physical Requirements:
  • Must be able to walk on construction projects, climb scaffolding, and lift and carry up to 65 pounds of Hilti product
