The Software Sales Account Manager (Solution Consultant) leads the growth of Hilti's ON!Track and Fleet Management solutions by delivering tailored, productivity-driven strategies to VIP customers. This field-based role combines consultative selling with hands-on implementation, ensuring customers optimize their business processes and achieve measurable ROI. By collaborating with local and regional sales teams, managing pipeline execution, and supporting post-sale training, the Solution Consultant positions Hilti as a trusted partner in digital innovation and operational efficiency.
This is a field-based customer-facing role, and the territory will support customers throughout Massachusetts, Connecticut, and New Hampshire.


What You'll do
  • Focus on business development of Hilti software & services in a defined geographic area among current and prospective customers.
  • Analyze sales results, review customer fact base, identify key trades and customer potential to develop tactical sales strategy.
  • Collaborate with sales leadership team.
  • Building the competence for solution selling in collaboration with the sales leadership team.
  • Coordinate efforts of entire team of Account Managers, Regional Managers, Division Managers, and marketing team members with a goal of improving market reach of Hilti software & services.
  • Steer pipeline management in sales process in collaboration with the sales team and support the execution of process from lead generation to contract closing.
  • With a Consultative approach, will conduct onsite analysis for ON!Track and coordinate Tool Park Analysis, including developing customer‐specific optimized solutions.
  • Present customer‐specific solutions with sales management team to decision maker.
  • Support customers after contract signing, through the implementation, training, and ongoing usage of ON!Track and Fleet Management solutions.
  • Provide sales organization with product expertise and support resources.
  • Prepare assigned region(s) and local sales teams for product and service launches and upgrades.
  • Plan and participate in trade shows and other industry events.
  • Visit construction jobsites and offices daily to demonstrate Hilti's value proposition to key stakeholders within customer's organization.
  • Communicate with customers to identify new market opportunities relevant to local market.
  • Maintain knowledge of assigned product portfolio and related services (i.e. Fleet, LTS, etc.)
  • Facilitate startup as well as ongoing training for new and existing customers.
  • Assist with training of new field specialists and assist with launch readiness in their assigned markets.
  • Additional duties as assigned.


What You'll Bring
  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience, required
  • Minimum of three (3) years consultative selling, specifically to c-suite executives, required
  • Training experience preferred
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work in a cross-functional team environment: Marketing, Sales, and other corporate team members
  • Demonstrated analytical, problem-solving, organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills required
  • Strong knowledge of SAP and Microsoft Office applications
  • High level of entrepreneurship and presentation skills
  • Willingness to travel up to 50% within the geographical territory


What's In It for You

Our software sales account managers earn between $94,000 - $99,000, with bonus at target of $16,200 if all sales goals are met. The account manager role offers an uncapped bonus potential. Individual starting salary within this range may depend on geography, experience, expertise, and education/training. In addition to salary, we offer:
