Job Description

Role Overview

The primary purpose of the Resin Room Maintenance Tech is to safely perform general maintenance on all resin and other related equipment.

Your Role in Unpacking Possibilities

  • Silo equipment repairs / piping and couplings, gearmotors, air locks, pneumatic valves, pneumatic gates, poly flow, and valves.
  • Material and vacuum piping from silos to dryer equipment.
  • Monitoring of the vacuum and blower pumps in the pump room.
  • Dust collection maintenance and filter maintenance in the pump room.
  • McGuire blender and dust collection maintenance.
  • Blender "A" thru "E" maintenance, including regrind bins feeding blenders and storage bins below including transfer valves.
  • Virgin bin monitoring and maintenance.
  • RB bin monitoring and maintenance.
  • Maintenance and repair of the pellitron system.
  • Maintenance and repair of the grinder and pellitron dust collection system.
  • Maintenance and repair with assistance of the grinding system and related incline belts and dumpers.
  • Maintenance and repair of the Alternate dumper system and related piping, and valves.
  • Maintenance, monitoring, and repair of the resin dryers and attached equipment, including process burners, and regeneration burners, desiccant and related equipment.
  • Associate in charge of handling all PM's on the above listed equipment in the FMS system.
  • Responsible for all filter changes, cleaning, and generally maintaining the equipment in runnable condition as needed to support the injection department.
  • Operate and maintenance equipment in a safe manner to protect yourself and co-workers while attempting the tasks.
  • Maintenance this equipment using all required PPE, and following established work rules and guidelines to accomplish each task safely and on time.
  • Responsible for checking out parts and equipment from the supply room using the SAP system for part removal.
  • Responsible for entering and closing FMS and SAP work orders in the systems to document work done to all equipment maintained.
  • Associate should be available for call-ins and overtime as needed to support equipment.
  • Associate is expected to follow instructions and requirements given by Injection Maintenance Manager, Shift Supervisor, and Injection Maintenance Department Lead.
  • Additional duties will be assigned by Injection Maintenance Manager, Shift Supervisor, or Injection Maintenance Lead, as business changes require.

What We Want From You

  • High School Diploma or GED. Post-secondary education preferred in related field (Technical or Vocational education)
  • 2 years machinery operator/maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment preferred
  • Excellent computer knowledge
  • Team player
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to prioritize work tasks
  • Ability to communicate well on all levels and good interpersonal skills required
  • Adapts to changes in the work environment; able to deal with frequent changes or unexpected events
  • Possess the ability to work all shifts and required overtime as needed
