Ampcus Inc. is a certified global provider of a broad range of Technology and Business consulting services. We are in search of a highly motivated candidate to join our talented Team. Job Title: Program/Project Manager - II Location: Dallas, TX. Responsibilities:
  • Analyzes project proposals to determine time frame, funding limitations and appropriate process for accomplishing projects.
  • Identifies and schedules project deliverables, milestones and required activities and tasks.
  • Provides leadership and motivation to project team members throughout the project life cycle and confers with project staff to outline work plan.
  • Establishes work plan and staffing for project activities, releases, iterations or phases, and arranges for recruitment or assignment of project personnel.
  • Implemented project communication plan.
  • Performs risk assessment and implements mitigation plans.
  • Monitors project activities, ensuring the currency, quality and integrity of the information, while providing consistency in content and "look and feel" across ITS.
  • Ensure that project goals are accomplished and in line with business objectives.
  • Assign duties, responsibilities and scope of authority to project personnel.
  • Directs and coordinates activities of project personnel to ensure project progresses on schedule and within budget.
  • Creates status reports and distributes them to stakeholders.
  • Establishes standards and procedures for project reporting and documentation.
  • Plans leads, organizes, and motivates one or more cross-functional projects of medium to high complexity consisting of multiple teams and/or requiring integration with other activities outside of the project team's scope.
  • Works across departments in different locations and interacts with all levels of management and staff.
  • Leads daily program execution, including scope, time, and delivery criteria.
  • Champions defined project and program management processes and best practices in the program.
  • Leads to regular interactions with executive sponsors to inform, alert, negotiate and maintain a continuous working relationship and shared vision for the program outcome.
  • Establishes and ensures appropriate program governance functions in accordance with enterprise policies and practices, on behalf of the executive sponsor.
  • Directs the creation and maintenance of required program documentation and artifacts.
  • Develops and controls the program budget and manages expenditure within agreed spending plans.
  • Ensures and balances the availability of required skills and competencies across project teams within the program.
  • Leads reviews with executive sponsors and stakeholders to identify specific needs and addresses them appropriately.
  • Leads the development and maintenance of stakeholder mapping, communications and reporting.
  • Acts as an advisor and builds and maintains relationships across the wider stakeholder community.
  • Monitors and coordinates dependencies across projects in the program and resolves conflicts.
  • Directs or approves the establishment of framework / guidelines for the use of contractors and professional service providers and determines their use across the program.
  • Supports and facilitates agenda setting for program committee / board meetings.
  • Plans, leads, organize, and motivates one or more highly complex or enterprise-wide programs consisting of multiple teams and/or requiring integration with other activities outside of the project team's scope.
  • Interacts with both business and IT individuals at all levels, including executives.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or other related field or equivalent work experience.
  • Typically requires 5 or more years of IT work experience, including a minimum of 2 years of demonstrated competency in a project coordination role and three or more years of business unit (BU) or BU-facing experience.
  • Requires experience with projects involving one or more technology or functional domain.
  • Familiar with one or more project management methodologies and tools, resource management practices and change management techniques.
  • Ability to blend traditional project management principles and practices with an agile development approach.
  • PMI-ACP, CSM, or equivalent certification preferred.
