Overview

S2 Global, Inc. is seeking a Sales Engineer to join the Enterprise Solutions team. This role is pivotal in bridging technical, programmatic, and operational gaps between internal teams (e.g., software development, IT, programs, finance, business development, sales operations) and external customers. The Sales Engineer will leverage a deep understanding of software-as-a-service (SaaS) and platform-as-a-service (PaaS) delivery models to help craft winning solutions for clients worldwide.

S2 Global is the leading provider of security screening solutions and has extensive experience in program assessment, technology deployment, operation management, image analysis and maintenance services at major events, ports, land borders and air cargo facilities. Focused on Operations, Integration and Training, S2 Global's solutions ensure that customers have the advanced technologies and sophisticated techniques to significantly increase their screening capabilities.


Responsibilities

Collaboration:

  • Support the end-to-end Capture process from opportunity assessment, through customer-tailored technical and programmatic proposal content, to post-award transition to the project execution team.
  • Coordinate with cross-functional internal teams-including business development (BD), sales operations, software development, IT, programs, finance, and service-to design and deliver integrated enterprise solutions.
  • Evaluate program execution lessons learned to support product improvement roadmaps and refinement of tailored customer solutions.

Strategy Development:

  • Assist in the development of new business capture strategies through market research regarding customer needs and industry trends.
  • Support BD and sales teams in qualifying emerging opportunities and win strategy development.
  • Participate in technical conversations with prospects and customers in the development of compelling solutions.

Bid & Proposal (B&P) Process:

  • Utilize Customer Resource Management (CRM) tools to ensure timely delivery of proposals, white papers, and related customer communications.
  • Support B&P efforts with win theme development, solution design, cost estimating, written and graphical content.

Travel:

  • Travel up to 25%, including international destinations.
  • Participate in face-to-face prospect and customer meetings.
  • Observe live border security operations with S2's customers.
  • Attend industry tradeshows and symposiums.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline, preferably systems/software engineering.
  • 5+ years' of work experience, at least three of which in a technical capacity (e.g., systems/software engineering, integration, and/or development).
  • Significant participation / contributions to multiple B&P teams.
  • Strong oral, written, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Detailed, goal-oriented, well organized, self-starter, with diligent follow-through.
  • Ability to operate in a fast-paced, intrapreneurial environment.
  • Multilingual (Spanish and/or Arabic) a plus.
  • Ability to obtain a US Government clearance a plus.
