Specialist - IT Terminal Automation

Sunoco LP is a leading energy infrastructure and fuel distribution master limited partnership operating across 47 U.S. states, Puerto Rico, Europe, and Mexico. Position Summary

Position will be responsible for implementing projects and providing daily support of automation systems for loading and off-loading terminals. Primary duty will be PLC configuration and programming related to automation systems. Duties will include automation troubleshooting, installation, and general technical system support. Will provide support of critical production systems, 7x24, to ensure continuous system availability. Activities include direct end user contact with terminal operations, corporate personnel, and vendors.

Major Accountabilities

* Configure, program, implement and maintain PLC systems including related applications, hardware, interfaces, and communications.

* Collect, interpret and document requirements to develop new or modify existing solutions.

* Develop and implement automation system changes and enhancements.

* Provide support of critical systems, 7 days-a-week, 24 hours a day, to ensure continuous availability.

* Perform research and maintenance activity, including vendor coordination to ensure that expected service levels and objectives are met.

* Maintain broad understanding of information technology and business processes in order to assess impact and prioritize activities.

* Responsible for solving difficult to complex technical issues.

* Expected to continually expand scope of knowledge.

* Expected to work effectively with other I/S disciplines and operations team members, and bridge gaps as necessary.

* Travel - Must be willing and able to travel as required by the demands of the position, up to 20% of the time, but may be higher during critical project assignments.

* Work assignments at remote sites will require outside work in all types of weather conditions.

* Must be willing to work overtime when needed, including occasional weekend work
