Torch Technologies is seeking a motivated Mechanical Manufacturing Specialist to support prototyping and low-volume production of mechanical hardware for commercial, aerospace, and defense applications. This role supports production planning, process development, and manufacturing execution in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

As a Mechanical Manufacturing Specialist your duties will include the following but not limited to:

  • Develop and implement production processes for prototyping and low-volume manufacturing

  • Perform technical estimating, production planning, and resource scheduling

  • Create Bills of Materials (BOM) from technical drawings or CAD models

  • Define manufacturing methods, process plans, and optimize process controls

  • Manage material flow and support ERP/MES-based production activities

  • Schedule machine usage and support tactical production planning

  • Coordinate shipping for outside processing and final customer delivery

  • Communicate effectively with engineers, project managers, and manufacturing staff

Required Qualifications

  • U.S. Citizenship

  • Associate degree, or 2 years of formal technical training, AND

  • 2 + years of directly applicable work experience in technical development.

  • Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD secret clearance

  • Experience in production planning and quality control within an AS9100 environment

  • Proficiency with MS Office and ERP systems

  • Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings and technical instructions

  • Experience estimating labor and material costs for manufacturing projects

  • Experience developing manufacturing methods and process plans

  • Strong communication skills and ability to work independently

  • Experience with machine scheduling tools and fast-paced team environments

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with Deltek Costpoint

  • Inventory and supplier management experience

  • Familiarity with ECI M1 or Epicor

  • Project management and production planning experience

  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office
