A well-established manufacturer in New Berlin is seeking an experienced Field Service Technician. This is a direct-hire opportunity with a respected local company known for innovation, stability, and long-term career growth.

As a Field Service Technician, you'll play a key role installing, supporting, and maintaining automated machinery at customers facilities. When not traveling, you'll assist with technical support, system assembly, and preparation in the shop. Wage base on experience. Responsibilities:



  • Install, commission, and support automated equipment at customer facilities
  • Assemble, wire, and test machinery in-house before shipment
  • Troubleshoot and repair electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and control issues
  • Perform system calibration, setup, and performance checks both on-site and remotely
  • Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and schematics
  • Use PLC and HMI systems for troubleshooting and minor program adjustments
  • Work with motion control components, including servos and VFDs
  • Collaborate with engineers and project teams to improve system performance
  • Provide clear technical support and training to customer personnel
  • Maintain detailed service documentation and communicate findings effectively
  • Represent the company with professionalism and have excellent customer service.


Requirements:



  • 3+ years of experience as a Field Service Technician (industrial or automation preferred)
  • Understanding of PLC/HMI systems (Allen-Bradley, Siemens, or similar)
  • Knowledge of industrial communication protocols (Modbus, Profibus, etc.)
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and electrical troubleshooting ability
  • Valid driver's license and ability to travel out of state.
  • Limited travel (approximately 20% out of state)
