The Project Coordinator will support the day-to-day operations of project planning, execution, and monitoring of manufacturing-related projects. They will prioritize tasks, submit documents and communicate across departments to ensure timely and cost-effective project delivery. The Project Coordinator is responsible for meeting deadlines to help ensure projects are completed on time and within budget and scope.

MAJOR DUTIES:


  • Assist project managers with the entire life of the project (from initiation to closure)
  • Ensure projects are set up with the deliverables needed within each department, such as jobs, shop orders, and purchase order documents
  • Perform computer-based tasks to support customer interaction and documentation
  • Prepare, submit, upload, and track documentation per contract data requirements keeping records current, organized, and following up on deadlines and re-submissions.
  • Support compliance with ISO or other regulatory standards by maintaining relevant records and following company procedures.
  • Maintain accurate documentation, including following customer purchase orders, change orders, deliverables, and reference documents.
  • Assist in assigning project tasks to relevant parties and checking in for status updates
  • Report project outcomes and/or risks to the appropriate management channels as needed-escalating issues as necessary based on project work plans
  • Act as a point of communication between various stakeholders involved in the project
  • Collect best practices and develop lessons learned to mature project management process
  • Other duties as assigned



EXPERiENCE PREFERRED/QUALIFCATIONS:

  • Associates degree or experience in business or related field is a plus
  • 1+years of project management support experience
  • Experience working in the maritime or manufacturing industry is a strong plus
  • Intermediate skills in Microsoft Office suite with emphasis on Word, Outlook, Excel, and Projects
  • Hands-on experience working under pressure and meeting deadlines.
  • Strong written, verbal, and presentation skills
  • Strong organizational skills, including multitasking and time-management
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
  • Willingness and ability to quickly learn different web-based programs
