Job DescriptionThe Creative Director acts as an inspirational leader and visionary guide for TSTC's creative teams. This role fosters innovation in visual storytelling, brand expression, and digital experiences, while ensuring that all creative output aligns with institutional goals and values. The position collaborates with stakeholders across the college to design integrated campaigns that elevate engagement and reinforce the TSTC brand.
This position also provides strategic oversight for sub-brands within TSTC-including Online College, Accelerated Training, WorkSite, and the TSTC Foundation-ensuring consistency, reach, and alignment with the college's mission of training a skilled workforce for Texas industries. The Creative Director shepherds multidisciplinary teams across photography, cinematography, and graphic design to produce compelling and impactful creative assets. Essential Functions

Brand Strategy and Leadership
The Creative Director inspires and guides creative strategies that elevate and uphold TSTC's brand narrative and visual identity. The position fosters collaboration and partnerships across divisions to ensure cohesive brand strategies and unified messaging. It provides high-level oversight for creative projects, ensuring that all deliverables reflect institutional excellence and integrity.

Team Development and Management
This role leads and mentors creative teams, cultivating a culture that attracts, develops, and retains top-tier creative talent. The Creative Director provides inspirational direction and sets clear expectations for performance, innovation, and collaboration. The role also implements systems to manage workloads, timelines, and deliverables to ensure that priorities receive appropriate focus and resources.

Campaign and Sub-Brand Oversight
The position oversees the development and execution of integrated marketing campaigns that support organizational initiatives. It leads the evolution and stewardship of sub-brands, ensuring that each maintains alignment with TSTC's overall brand architecture while serving the unique needs of distinct audiences.

Innovation and Performance Management
The Creative Director champions innovation in digital media, storytelling, and emerging technologies to enhance audience engagement. The position establishes performance metrics and tracking systems to evaluate creative effectiveness and drive continuous improvement, ensuring that creative strategies are data-informed and scalable for institutional growth.

Education & Experience

Required

Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design, Visual Communication, Marketing, Multimedia, or a related field; or equivalent experience.
Eight (8) or more years of progressive creative leadership experience with demonstrated success in brand development and cross-platform storytelling.
Proven experience leading multidisciplinary creative teams, including photography, videography, and graphic design.
Strong portfolio demonstrating excellence in digital, print, video, and experiential work.
Demonstrated ability to build and sustain collaborative, high-performing team environments.

Physical Abilities

Must be able to remain in a stationary position for extended periods. Frequently operates computers, cameras, and other standard office or creative equipment. Occasionally moves equipment weighing up to 25 pounds for events or on-site productions. May be required to travel between TSTC locations or to event sites as needed.
