Access Control Security Service Technician - TEKsystems Industry Focus: Healthcare, Education, Detention, Commercial Experience Level: Expert Position Summary The Access Control Security Service Technician is responsible for servicing a wide variety of commercial systems. The technician should be knowledgeable and experienced in access control systems, electrified door hardware, CCTV (Analog & IP), and burglar panels. Provides excellent customer service to all clients while working effectively in a highpaced environment. Essential Duties & Responsibilities * Performs all duties with honesty, integrity, and pursuit of excellence * Provides timely and efficient support to clients and their representatives * Offers onsite and remote troubleshooting on access control, CCTV, and burglar systems * Performs onsite repairs when possible * Advises customers on upgrade needs and options * Provides training for clients and end users * Assists installation division with programming and installation when necessary * Performs upgrades and alarm takeovers as needed * Submits all necessary documentation on service tickets to Service Manager and support staff * Maintains accurate inventory of service parts on company vehicle * Keeps working knowledge of installed systems; adapts to new technology as a lifetime learner Preferred Qualifications Experience with several of the following brands: * Lenel * RS2 * DMP * DSC * Interlogic * Honeywell * Avigilon Skills * Access Control * Alarm Systems * Security * Install & Installation * Radio Systems * Troubleshooting & Service * Alarm Installation * DSC & Honeywell Systems * Low Voltage * Punchdown * Physical Security * Programming Top Skills Details * Access Control * Alarm Systems * Security * Install * Radio * Installation * Troubleshooting * Service * Alarm Installation * DSC & Honeywell * Low Voltage * Punchdown * Physical Security Additional Skills & Qualifications * Takes part in oncall rotation for emergency afterhours service * Occasionally travels to job sites over 2 hours away requiring overnight stays Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Nashville, TN. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $35.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
