Position Summary

This role offers an exciting opportunity to shape the future of our new Ambient Foods business within Global Culinary Kitchen. You'll be at the forefront of accelerating the growth of Stouffer's Supreme-bringing a beloved, legacy brand into an entirely new space. The mission is bold: establish category leadership, ignite brand visibility, and unlock untapped growth potential in the ambient segment. If you thrive on breaking boundaries, influencing cross-functional teams, and turning strategic vision into tangible results, this position puts you in the driver's seat of redefining what's possible for Stouffer's Supreme.

As a Brand Expansion Associate, you are responsible for long-term brand growth (3+ years), focusing on new brand/category whitespace, business models, and technology. You will build a pipeline of innovation and opportunities to incorporate into Market Business Strategy, identifying new opportunities for the portfolio. This may include potential Mergers and Acquisition (M&A) activities.

Key Responsibilities

Consumer & Customer Intimacy

  • Develop a deep understanding of consumer demographics, psychographics, occasions, path to purchase, and behavioral drivers through data and research.
  • Leverage data and trends to generate insights and transform them into marketing innovation, brand building (communications), and retail programs.
  • Partner with Insights teams to chart a strategic course for the category, portfolio, and brand using data-driven decision-making.
  • Identify and address knowledge gaps in consumer, brand, product, business, and marketplace to build a learning plan.

Business Planning

  • Lead cross-functional teams to drive optimized portfolio and value chain.
  • Explore and incorporate new approaches to brand innovation, including new business models, distribution strategies, M&A activity, licensing agreements, and strategic partnerships.
  • Generate concepts, validate with consumers, and assess on key criteria to identify winning platforms for long-term portfolio growth.
  • Facilitate periodic review of long-term plans against market realities and business performance.

Brand & Product Experience

  • Manage end-to-end brand projects and assignments, activating key consumer insights in strategy and innovation activities.

Commercial Excellence

  • Build business plans and lead commercialization for new product opportunities in collaboration with cross-functional teams.
  • Develop and manage new product and program handoffs for business partners to ensure smooth transitions for new product launches.

Qualifications / Certifications
  • University Degree (BA/BS) in Marketing or related field, or equivalent experience; MBA preferred.
  • Knowledge of budget control methods, policies, and procedures.
  • Strong negotiation and relationship-building skills.
  • Strong research and strategic analysis skills.
  • Ability to work independently and adapt quickly to change.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to prioritize workload, self-manage projects, handle multiple tasks, and meet strict deadlines.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Applications.
Critical Experiences
  • 3-5 years of work experience in product or brand management.
  • Demonstrated ability to drive cross-functional teams to deliver on brand goals.
  • Experience developing strategic plans, such as communication campaigns or commercialization strategies.
