This position is eligible for Eskaton's health benefits package the first of the month following 60 days of employment and Paid Time Off benefits program after 90 days of employment.

Position Summary:
The Driver position is responsible for the safe operation, transportation and delivery of residents to and from assigned destinations. This position is responsible for assisting the Activity Director with planned resident Life Enrichment. This position is also responsible for the maintenance and cleanliness of the vehicle(s).

The starting salary for this position ranges from $19.50 to $23.88/hour. Factors such as scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/training, job-related skills, internal peer equity, as well as market and business considerations may influence base pay offered.

This position is considered full-time and has a standard weekly schedule of Sunday-Thursday, 8:00 AM-5:30 PM.

Position Responsibilities include:

• Plans and schedules bus itineraries to accommodate Eskaton Gold River Lodge resident transportation needs, Life Enrichment program needs, and pick up and delivery of community supplies.
• Drives vehicles in a safe manner, with regard for resident security, comfort and confidence at all times.
• Accommodates the special needs of the non-ambulatory residents.
• Responsible for the cleanliness, safety, and routine maintenance of the vehicle(s).

Qualifications

Education:
High School or equivalent.

Training and Experience:
Valid California driver's license and ability to operate a large van with skill and safety. Must be 21 years of age or older. No moving violations and/or accidents within the last three years. Possession of or ability to obtain and maintain any special operator's licenses necessary for operation of vehicles. Experience with handicapped transportation preferred.

The final candidate must successfully pass Eskaton's post offer, pre-employment testing which includes a criminal background check, drug test, TB screen test and health screen.
