Job Summary:
The Department of Radiology at the University of Wisconsin-Madison School of Medicine and Public Health is seeking a full-time (100% FTE) Accountant I or II to join its growing finance team. This position provides comprehensive financial management and transaction processing for a large portfolio of departmental activities, including reimbursements, payments, purchasing, and expense tracking. As the primary resource for Department faculty staff, the Accountant I or II serves as the first point of contact for financial guidance, training, and problem resolution. Advanced Excel skills are preferred for success in this role, including the ability to build and interpret formulas, functions, and pivot tables to support financial analysis and reporting. The ideal candidate will be highly detail-oriented and experienced in expense reimbursements, processing transactions, and navigating systems. This role also involves compliance monitoring across a diverse set of funding sources and evolving institutional policies, with regular collaboration across campus and with external stakeholders.

Compensation:The starting salary for this position is a minimum of $60,000/year; but is negotiable based on experience and qualifications.
