$24.83 - $46.12 Now Hiring for Fort Wayne Rheumatology and Infusion in Fort Wayne, IN! Job Description Summary:

The RN provides patient-centered nursing care and administers infusion therapies for individuals with autoimmune and inflammatory conditions in an outpatient rheumatology clinic.

Key Performance Areas:
  • Administer biologics, IV medications, and supportive infusions per provider orders and safety protocols.

  • Perform pre-infusion assessments, start peripheral IVs, and monitor for adverse reactions.

  • Provide patient education on infusion medications, side effects, and chronic disease management.

  • Collaborate with rheumatologists, APPs, pharmacists, and support staff to coordinate patient care.

  • Document assessments, interventions, and patient responses accurately in the EMR.

  • Maintain compliance with safety standards, infection control, and regulatory requirements.

Job Qualifications and Requirements: Education:
  • Nursing Degree
Certifications/Licenses:
  • Unencumbered RN License in state of employment or multi-state license
  • Current BLS certifications
  • Valid Driver's License and vehicle for travel to other clinic locations as needed
Previous Experience (including minimum years of experience):
  • Prior rheumatology or autoimmune disease experience is a plus.
  • Strong IV skills and ability to work in a fast-paced outpatient setting.
  • Excellent clinical assessment and critical-thinking skills.
  • Strong communication and patient education abilities.
  • Compassionate, detail-oriented, team-focused approach.

  • Customer Service & Organizational Awareness: Strong customer focus. Ability to build an engaging culture of quality, performance effectiveness and operational excellence through best practices, strong business and political acumen, collaboration and partnerships, as well as a positive employee, physician and community relations.
  • Self-Management: Effectively manages own time, conflicting priorities, self, stress, and professional development. Self-motivated and self-starter with ability work independently with limited supervision. Ability to work remotely effectively as required.
  • Must be able to work effectively in a fast-paced, multi-site environment with demonstrated ability to juggle competing priorities and demands from a variety of stakeholders and sites.
  • Computer Skills:
    • Proficiency in MS Office Word, Excel, Power Point, and Outlook required.

Travel: <25% Standard Core Workdays/Hours: Monday to Friday 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM. Occasional overtime may be required, and weekend shifts based on location hours and operational needs.
