  • We are actively looking for Registered Nurses and Licensed Practical Nurses to join our team.

Mohs surgery is a procedure used to treat skin cancer. This surgery involves cutting away thin layers of skin. Each thin layer is looked at closely for signs of cancer. The process keeps going until there are no signs of cancer. Mohs surgery is used to treat skin cancer. This includes common types of skin cancer, such as basal cell carcinoma and squamous cell carcinoma. It also includes melanoma and other less-common skin cancers.


Responsibilities

RN Duties:

  • The Dermatology Registered Nurse supports the dermatologist in providing high-quality medical and cosmetic dermatologic care. This position involves assisting with clinical procedures such as biopsies, excisions, and injections, as well as performing or assisting with cosmetic and laser treatments. The ideal candidate is compassionate, detail-oriented, and able to maintain a calm, professional demeanor in a fast-paced clinical environment.

    Clinical Duties:

    • Prepare patients and treatment rooms for dermatologic procedures.
    • Assist the physician with medical procedures, including:
      • Skin biopsies
      • Excisions
      • Cryotherapy
      • Intralesional and cosmetic injections
    • Administer injections as directed by the physician (e.g., local anesthesia, intralesional, or cosmetic injectables).
    • Apply and remove dressings, sutures, and wound care materials.
    • Document procedures, treatments, and patient interactions accurately in the medical record.

    Cosmetic & Laser Procedures:

    • Perform or assist with cosmetic treatments such as chemical peels, microneedling, and light-based therapies.
    • Operate and maintain laser and energy-based devices (training provided).
    • Educate patients on pre- and post-procedure care and answer questions about cosmetic treatments.

    Patient Care & Coordination:

    • Greet and prepare patients for evaluation and procedures.
    • Obtain and document medical histories and treatment consents.
    • Provide patient education on diagnoses, medications, and home care instructions.
    • Support the provider in maintaining a high standard of safety and patient satisfaction.

RN Education and Experience

Graduate of an accredited nursing program.

ADN required upon hire, BSN preferred.

May require specific years of applicable experience to qualify (per department guidelines)

RN Certification and Licensure

Approved CPR/BLS certification required within 90 days

Other certification(s) per unit requirements. For example : ACLS, PALS, PEARS, and NRP

LPN Duties:
