CORE RESPONSIBILITIES AND TASKS:

The Product Stewardship Labeling Specialist provides label review support for products across the Global Architectural businesses, applying knowledge of labeling regulations and company labeling policies while ensuring a high degree of accuracy and quality. The Product Stewardship Labeling Specialist provides internal and external product stewardship support to customers and business stakeholders.

(1) Label Review:



  • Completes label reviews for FHSA and CCCR compliance in a timely manner.
  • During review, ensures labeling inconsistencies, errors, omissions, etc. are elevated in a timely manner.
  • Works within Global Architectural Product Stewardship team to review label concerns and issues to achieve consensus on solutions.
  • Troubleshoots and resolves problems concerning data and compliance.
  • Works with affected business contacts to resolve issues associated with product labeling.


(2) General Stewardship Support:



  • Works within Global Architectural Product Stewardship team to provide general support in collecting product data, aggregating reports, etc.
  • Collects, aggregates and summarizes data across affected portfolios.
  • Supports impact assessment projects stemming from updates to regulatory information, formula updates, raw material changes, and new regulations. Analyzes data, summarizes and organizes results, and communicates with businesses that are impacted by the changes, as needed.
  • Provides support for craft product ASTM certifications.


This role will report to Sherwin-Williams Global Headquarters located at 1 Sherwin Way, Cleveland, OH 44113, USA IL Chicago Office 8725 W Higgins Rd. Chicago IL 60631, or USA MN Minneapolis Campus 1101 South 3rd Street, Minneapolis, MN 55415.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

FORMAL EDUCATION:

Required:



  • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited institution in a physical science or engineering


Preferred:



  • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited institution in Chemistry, Biology, Chemical Engineering, Industrial Hygiene, Environmental Sciences, or similar


KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE:

Required:



  • Some chemical or coatings industry background in materials and chemical regulations


Preferred:



  • 2 years' experience working with consumer product labeling regulations, such as FHSA and CCCR
  • Coatings industry experience


TECHNICAL/SKILL REQUIREMENTS:

Required:



  • Knowledge of basic chemistry
  • Attention to detail
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, etc.)


Preferred:



  • Knowledge of FHSA and CCCR regulations
