Job Description Position: Sales Support / Plant Secretary Hourly Range: $18-$22/hour Job Summary The Sales Support / Plant Secretary provides front-line customer service, supports sales activities, and performs essential accounting functions related to billing and inventory management. Education and/or Experience High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required. One to two years' related experience desired. Language Skills Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization. Mathematical Skills Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs Reasoning Ability Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations. Other skills and Abilities Ability to 10-key, touch type and operate other common office equipment. Substantial experience in a PC environment and fluency in Microsoft Excel and Word computer software is highly desirable.
