Who we are looking for:

We are currently looking for a 3^rd Shift Coiler to be based out of New Bedford, MA. Reporting to Manufacturing Supervisor, New Bedford, MA, the Coiler's primary focus will ensure proper and consistent operation of the Coiler process. Performs daily safety inspections and produces a good quality product.

What you'll do:

• Performs daily safety inspection

• Reviews work scheduled for the day

• Checks the equipment and supplies required to perform the work scheduled

• Inspect material and look for any noticeable problems such as pinholes, armor breaks, neckdowns, bad paint, distorted convolutions, tight armor, etc.

• Thread and operate the coiling machine using chopper and roto stripper

• Band coil using wire ties

• Place product tag on outside of coil with zip tie and bag of bushings on inside of coil

• Place product on conveyor

• Dump scrap barrels

• Accurately complete allpaperwork associated with production data

• Performs housekeeping of machine and area

What you'll bring:

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred but not required

• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions.

• Must have the ability to understand and carry out verbal and written instructions in English.

• Ability to meet physical requirements including: a variety of standing, sitting and walking throughout the day.

• Must be capable of lifting, pulling or pushing at least 50 lbs.

• Must possess basic skills in order to maintain safe operation as required by job task.

• Must keep working area neat and orderly.

• Must be willing to work overtime.

• Must have dependability, good attendance and strong work ethic.

Within 3 months, you'll:

• Complete any required training.
• Have developed relationships within the department.
• Be well-versed in priorities and the importance of your role to daily operations.

As of the date of this posting, a good faith estimate of the current pay for this position is $24.75. Placement in the range depends on several factors including, but not limited to, specific competencies, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, relevant experience, skills, seniority, performance, shift, travel requirements, and business or organizational needs and may change over time. Other compensation may include, but not limited to, overtime, shift differentials, bonuses, commissions, stock, and other incentives.
