What you'll do

Viasat is growing rapidly and our Global Fixed Broadband division is searching for a sales professional to grow Viasat sales! Reporting to the National Sales Manager, this newest member of the Viasat sales team will be responsible for developing new and existing partner relationships to propel the growth of Viasat products and services. This role is a high-touch, heavy-travel sales position that will make a meaningful contribution to the rapid growth of our business by unlocking and improving the potential that exists in the multi-state territory.


The day-to-day

  • Accountable for achieving important metric performance goals of all local retailers (SI/SO) within the region including ARPU, 30-day disconnect, and total new subscriber acquisitions for business and residential products including fiber.
  • Accountable for achieving attach rates for Viasat 360 products with fulfillment partners with specific focus on Easy Care products.
  • Develop and implement a strategic plan to grow sales and distribution partners within the region for both satellite activations as well as Viasat 360 attach rates.
  • Operate as the primary point of contact for all retailers within the region and build clear expectations for what being an excellent partner to Viasat entails for each individual role.
  • Conduct training sessions for fulfillment partners to gain mindshare with Viasat 360 products.
  • Build and implement spiff incentives crafted to engage retailers and technicians to drive growth and performance behaviors.
  • Assess the territory distribution base and determine where we have and need coverage leading to replacing and/or re-engaging existing dealers as well as aggressively adding new dealers.
  • Develop and implement a plan to build and maintain a field presence for retailers and our distribution partner in your region. This includes developing a regular communication cadence to share key updates, visiting key retailers and partners in person, and providing regular feedback to all parties about their performance.
  • Use the internal analytics team to provide data vital to target specific growth opportunities around the country and provide the performance data on established KPI's necessary to drive performance.
  • Develop and implement a strategy to grow sales within the local retailer group including Viasat fiber products.
  • Assist with Partner Performance in other channels.

What you'll need

  • 5+ years of experience in channel sales
  • Proven success working cross-functionally in matrixed organizations
  • Desire to take initiative, a strong aim to perform, and tenacity to get things done
  • Ability to develop, prepare and present sales strategy using market data and business performance metrics
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, changing environment
  • Ability to strongly influence decision-makers
  • Ability to travel up to 50%
  • Maintain current knowledge of industry technology solutions
  • Strong relationship-building skills
  • Strong analytical ability
  • Computer skills with Word, Excel, pivot tables, Salesforce
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience
  • Ability to travel up to 50%

What will help you on the job

Salary range

$69,000.00 - $101,000.00 / annually.
For specific work locations within San Jose, the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, the base pay range for this role is $79,000.00- $119,000.00/ annually
