Position Summary This position will oversee the day to day Infection Prevention program while maintaining an in-depth understanding of and demonstrated leadership of state and federal regulations, disease control and preventions as well as quality/safety agency standards. The Infection Prevention Program Manager position provides leadership for our infection prevention program within the Performance Improvement department at Saddleback Medical Center. The Program Manager provides strategic oversight, program development, and regulatory alignment by setting program priorities, establishing policies, and ensuring regulatory compliance with NHSN, CDC, OSHA, Joint Commission, CMS, and state/federal standards. The Program Manager is responsible for driving performance improvement to prevent healthcare-associated infections (HAI) and safeguarding patient and staff health and well-being by ensuring proper infection control precautions are in place. This position serves as an advisor to staff, leadership, physicians, and committees, leads surveillance and outbreak investigations, and directs the infection control professional to ensure program success.
