What this job involves:

The Facilities Manager role is a strategic regional position responsible for overseeing multiple facilities within a designated Midwest portfolio, serving as the primary liaison between JLL and our clients. This remote position requires someone who can effectively manage complex client relationships while ensuring superior operational performance across all assigned properties. You'll have comprehensive responsibility for site budgets, maintenance operations, vendor management, and occupancy services, directly contributing to JLL's mission of protecting and enhancing our clients' real estate assets. This role offers the opportunity to make high-impact decisions while building lasting client partnerships in a dynamic, multi-site environment.

What your day-to-day will look like:

* Create and maintain superior client service practices across your regional portfolio

* Develop and manage annual operating and capital expense budgets for multiple facilities

* Manage diverse teams of skilled tradesmen and professionals across various locations

* Coordinate operational aspects of properties to protect, maintain, and improve client asset value

* Perform monthly reporting, forecasting, and asset management activities for all assigned sites

* Implement and oversee preventive, ongoing, and anticipated maintenance/repair programs

* Develop multi-year capital improvement project plans and manage execution through completion

Required Qualifications:

* Bachelor's degree or equivalent education and experience

* 5+ years of experience in facilities or property management

* Superior people management skills with ability to lead diverse teams

* Proven client relationship management capabilities

* Experience managing multiple vendors and small capital projects

* Proficiency with Excel and Word; CMMS experience highly desired

* Excellent communication and organizational skills with ability to work independently

Preferred Qualifications:

* Professional license or certification such as Certified Facilities Manager (CFM) or Certified Property Manager (CPM)

* Understanding of commercial leases and routine accounting methods

* Knowledge of trade union protocols and procedures

* Experience with budget planning and management within time constraints

* Ability to handle stressful situations and make effective, high-quality decisions under pressure

Work Shift: Standard business hours
