The Opportunity:

UST is looking for a Validation Engineer.

Key Responsibilities:

* Execute Plug and Play (PnP) validation for hardware devices on Windows platforms.

* Validate device detection, installation, removal, and re-enumeration scenarios.

* Perform basic driver installation, upgrade, and uninstall testing.

* Execute manual test cases and support validation activities.

* Assist in power management testing (reboot, sleep, resume).

* Collect and analyze logs (Device Manager, Event Viewer, SetupAPI).

* Reproduce issues and support verification of fixes.

* Document test results and update defect reports.

* Follow standard testing processes and guidelines.

* Basic knowledge of scripting (PowerShell / Python / Shell)

* Execute existing scripts for validation and log collection

* Willingness to learn automation frameworks.

Skills Required:

* Basic understanding of Windows OS.

* Awareness of PnP concepts and device drivers.

* Familiarity with Device Manager and system tools.

* Basic scripting or programming knowledge.

* Good analytical and problem-solving skills.

Desired Skills:

* Exposure to driver validation or Windows testing.

* Awareness of WDK/HLK tools.

* Knowledge of hardware interfaces (USB, PCIe)
