Astrion has an exciting opportunity for an Acquisition Contracting Support (Journeyman) located at the Robins AFB in Warner Robins, GA.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS

• Bachelor's or master's degree in a related field and at least three years of experience in the respective technical / professional discipline being performed, three of which must be in the DoD.
• OR, seven years of directly related experience with proper certifications as described below in the announcement, five of which must be in the DoD.
• Poses an active SECRET clearance Experience with Defense Acquisition System processes including UCA, MTA, MCA, SW Acquisition and Acquisition of Services

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS

• Recommended Professional Qualifications:
• Acquisition Qualification, and Professional Contracting Qualification
• Certified Professional Contract Manager (CPCM) and/or Contracting Professional from the National Contract Management Association, or
• Holds a DAWIA certification as a Certified Defense Acquisition Contracting functional area certification, or
• Has taken DAU courses CON 1100, CON 1200, CON 1300 and CON 1400 or equivalent

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Supports contract activities and analyzes contract data related to the lifecycle management of weapon systems.
• Advise and assist in the managing, organizing, scheduling and maintaining information by:
• Pricing and providing cost evaluation support (does not include negotiations)
• Performing contract close-out activities
• Collecting, compiling and analyzing data
• Providing clerical/administrative/office operations support
• Administering training associated with contract activities
