Overview

This is a hybrid role with the expectation that time working will regularly take place inside and outside of a company office.

At First Citizens Bank, the newly formed International Solutions Team plays a pivotal role in advancing the global banking franchise of all our brands including First Citizens Bank, Silicon Valley Bank and CIT, by holistically supporting the strategy, positioning, and commercialization of our international solutions.

This role requires strategic thinking, exceptional engagement capabilities, and a strong understanding of how treasury and finance functions operate within multinational and scaling companies. The successful candidate will act as a strategic advisor and subject matter expert across the full suite of international and treasury products - including FX, payments, liquidity, trade, working capital, and merchant solutions - by helping internal sales teams and clients navigate international product needs, streamline operations, and manage risk.

Leveraging one of our hubs in SF, NYC, Raleigh or Charlotte as a base, this hybrid role will report to the Enterprise Head of International Solutions and will be an integral part of the broader Global Banking and Markets division.


Responsibilities

Client Advisory & Solutioning
* Partner with senior sales teams to support our client's global growth across geographies/regulatory environments and provide subject matter expertise across our full suite of international solutions.
* Facilitate whiteboarding sessions and help design holistic tailored solutions that support our clients cross-border needs.
* Be a connector between clients and strategic ecosystem partners to enable collaboration that supports international growth.

Product & Commercialization

* Act as a key liaison between client-facing teams and product groups to influence roadmap prioritization and advocate for the development and commercialization of global and cross-border solutions.
* Drive go-to-market campaigns, solution positioning, and product enablement initiatives.
* Support cross product pricing discussions for international solutions, ensuring competitiveness and profitability.

Thought Leadership & External Engagement
* Create thought leadership content, client success stories, and market perspectives to support pitches and enhance First Citizens Bank's external profile.
* Represent the bank at industry conferences, webinars, and proprietary client events by delivering insights on emerging trends that clients face when scaling globally.
* Build and sustain brand visibility across target client segments through content, speaking opportunities, and partnerships.

Internal Collaboration & Enablement
* Provide coaching and enablement to sales and coverage teams, strengthening cross-product awareness and solution fluency.
* Coordinate with risk, legal, compliance, and operations teams to ensure all activities adhere to relevant policies and regulatory requirements.
* Work closely with Operational and Client Readiness teams leading cross divisional communication initiatives to advance awareness, understanding and positioning of existing and target state international solutions.
* Serve as the connective tissue between internal stakeholders, client feedback loops, and market intelligence.

Strategic Initiatives
* Lead or participate in complex cross-functional strategic initiatives with broad business impact, including product commercialization and transformation.
* Contribute to enterprise-level efforts to expand global reach, optimize client experience, and improve operational scalability.


Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree and 4 years of experience in Corporate Treasury, Treasury Consulting or Banking OR High School Diploma or GED and 8 years of experience in Corporate Treasury, Treasury Consulting or Banking.

  • Strong knowledge of global cash management, liquidity management, FX, trade, working capital optimization, and cross-border banking.
  • Proven understanding of global payments infrastructure, corporate treasury operations, and banking technology ecosystems.
  • Experience leading go-to-market initiatives and/or treasury transformation projects.
  • Strong commercial mindset and success practicing, advising or delivering financial solutions for commercial clients.

Preferred Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting or Business, or 10+ years relevant experience.

Certified Treasury Professional (CTP), Certificate in International Cash Management (CertICM), or equivalent preferred.

  • Strong communication, influencing, and storytelling skills - able to distill complex topics into compelling client narratives.

  • Creative, motivated, and committed to continuous improvement/learning and delivering best-in-class client experiences.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage operational and enterprise risk while driving growth.
  • Ability to navigate ambiguity and contribute with an entrepreneurial spirit.

If hired in NY or CA, the base pay for this position is generally between $194,000.00 and $295,000.00. Actual starting base pay will be determined based on skills, experience, location, and other non-discriminatory factors permitted by law. For some roles, total compensation may also include variable incentives, bonuses, benefits, and/or other awards as outlined in the offer of employment.
