Aon is looking for a Consultant, Business Process Optimization (Financial Services)

The ideal candidate will have an ability to innovate, collaborate, and is comfortable with ambiguity and working in uncharted territory. Have a deep interest in combining data science, business concepts, and technology. Have an analytical mindset, exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist or take lead on internal projects.
  • Working with Private Market team in all parts of the business to analyze, review, identify, document business improvement opportunities and strategies including process design as required, and in some cases develop the solution.
  • Ability to drive cross functional projects to deliver improvement in efficiency, quality and customer satisfaction.
  • Identify, understand and manage inter project dependencies, risks and issues.
  • Understand and adapt to changing roles within the business and industry.
  • Demonstrate an ability to deliver process changes across jurisdictions / locations.
  • Act as a source of structured change management and process improvement expertise.
  • Provide business partners and business leadership with independent consultation and support in the delivery of business change opportunities and recommendations.

Qualifications:

  • High learning agility.
  • Bachelor's degree with course work in business/mathematics or related experience preferred.
  • Basic understanding of financial/investment concepts.
  • Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience in a development environment and with the development cycle.
  • Ability to work well in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
  • Accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and within a team on a variety of projects, receive instructions from several people and meet project deadlines.
  • Excellent planning, organizational and communication skills.
  • Experience with databases, data management.
  • Experience in gathering, cleaning and analyzing large sets of data.
  • Experience with Bloomberg, FIS Investran a plus.
  • Understanding of gathering business requirements.
  • Spreadsheet skills - comfortable with complex functionality such as array calculations, pivot tables macros.
  • 2+ years of experience in database management systems such as SQL, Oracle, or other RDMS.
  • 2+ years of experience working in the investment management industry or large consulting firm.
  • Experience with analytics/statistical software language such as R, Python, or others.
  • Excellent listening, negotiation and influencing skills with an ability to work with Partners at all levels within the organization.
  • Six Sigma trained or certified is preferred but not required.

Pay Transparency Laws:

The salary range for this position intended for U.S. applicants is $62,000 to $78,000 annually. The actual salary will vary based on applicant's education, experience, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data. The salary may also be adjusted based on applicant's geographic location. The actual salary may vary for applicants in a different geographic location.

This position is eligible to participate in one of Aon's annual incentive plans to receive an annual discretionary bonus in addition to base salary. The amount of any bonus varies and is subject to the terms and conditions of the applicable incentive plan.
