Forklift Operator Altavista, VA 7am-3:30pm Job Summary The Forklift Operator is responsible for operating industrial trucks powered by gasoline, diesel, electric, or propane to assist in loading, moving, and transporting materials. This role requires adherence to safety standards and efficient handling of lifting devices such as forklifts, elevating platforms, or buckets. Job Responsibilities Operate forklifts and other industrial trucks to move, load, and unload materials. Ensure safe handling and transportation of goods within the facility. Perform routine equipment checks and report maintenance needs. Follow all safety guidelines and operational procedures. Assist with general warehouse duties as needed. Job Requirements Ability to operate gasoline, diesel, electric, or propane-powered forklifts. Basic understanding of warehouse operations and safety practices. Physical ability to lift and move materials as required. Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions. Education High School Diploma or equivalent.
