Job Summary

The Safety Coordinator is responsible for implementing, monitoring, and enforcing safety programs to reduce occupational hazards and ensure compliance with applicable safety regulations across active and new construction data center environments. This role supports field operations through safety orientations, inspections, training, and incident investigations, while working closely with general contractors and site leadership. The position requires a proactive approach to risk management, strong construction safety expertise, and the ability to promote a culture of safety across all job sites.

Job Responsibilities




  • Conduct onsite safety orientations and lead regular safety meetings and toolbox talks.



  • Monitor and enforce site-specific safety processes, procedures, and guidelines.



  • Coordinate with general contractors and site leadership to align safety expectations and standards.



  • Identify, evaluate, and document hazardous conditions that may result in accidents, injuries, or financial loss.



  • Develop and implement accident prevention and loss control programs.



  • Inspect job sites, facilities, tools, and equipment to ensure compliance with safety regulations.



  • Investigate work-related accidents, injuries, and occupational illnesses to determine root causes and corrective actions.



  • Review construction plans and specifications to verify safety requirements are met.



  • Compile, analyze, and interpret safety data related to incidents, injuries, and regulatory exposure, and prepare reports as needed.



  • Evaluate the effectiveness of corrective actions taken to address safety violations.



  • Maintain current knowledge of safety regulations, policies, and construction best practices.



  • Conduct or facilitate safety training for supervisory and field personnel.



  • Mentor employees on safe work practices and recommend corrective actions when necessary.




Job Requirements




  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a construction safety or safety management role.



  • Strong knowledge of construction and data center environments, including live and new construction sites.



  • BCSP certification required, such as Construction Health and Safety Technician (CHST) or Safety Trained Supervisor Construction (STSC).



  • OSHA 500 or OSHA 510 certification required.



  • Ability to interpret safety data and apply risk mitigation strategies effectively.



  • Strong communication and leadership skills to influence safety culture onsite.



  • Physical ability to stand, walk, and navigate construction job sites throughout the workday.




Work Experience




  • Prior experience supporting construction projects with active field operations, safety inspections, and compliance oversight is required.

Additional Job Details (Commute, Attendance, etc.)




  • Schedule: Monday through Friday, 40 hours per week, with potential overtime as project needs require.



  • Start Time: 7:00 AM.



  • Work Environment: Onsite presence required at data center construction sites.
