The Director of Physician Recruitment develops strategies to attract, hire and retain physicians and advanced practice providers by managing the full recruitment cycle and recruitment team building relationships with medical professionals and leaders. Oversees sourcing and marketing, contract negotiation, and handles all aspects from candidate sourcing to onboarding and retention programs. Elements of recruitment may include coordination of immigration assistance, income guarantee agreements, relocation assistance, licensure and credentialing, orientation and other requirements.
The Director, in conjunction with the AVP and VP of Physician Services will participate in an annual compensation review of employed providers and or medical directors to justify and support salaries consistent with fair market value. Additional Job Description: MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: EDUCATION, CERTIFICATION, AND/OR LICENSURE: 1. Master's degree in health care administration, business or relevant field. EXPERIENCE: 1. 5 years' experience in physician relations and recruitment. 2. 3 years' managerial/leadership experience preferred. Other duties may be assigned. 1.Developing and implementation of comprehensive physician recruitment strategies aligned with organizational and system goals. 2. Assessing needs and market trends and oversight of candidate sourcing. 3. Oversee onboarding and hiring process, working closely with med staff and provider enrollment 4. Manage, train and motivate team of recruiters continually evaluating processes to ensure goals are being met and making recommendations on changes for improvement as appropriate. 5. Implement programs for physician and mid-level providers for physician practice enhancement and retention. 6. Maintain data, track metrics, and provide reports to senior leadership and or Board of Directors taking an active role in improvement of key performance metrics to assess overall performance of services. 7. Collaborate with Medical Staff office, Human Resources, Practice Managers, Marketing, external search firms, hospital and system leadership on an ongoing and consistent basis. 8. Partners and works collaboratively to drive initiatives to standardize functions and processes on the development and operationalization of standard processes and policies for physician and provider recruitment and onboarding services. 9. Work closely with leadership on medical staff planning and development. 10. Manage accounts with locum agencies for physician coverage, work with practices to schedule and manage invoicing. Must demonstrate good telephone etiquette; the ability to interact with candidates and or families in a courteous, friendly and helpful manner. 3. In depth knowledge of healthcare operations, physician practice management and employment and compliance law. 4. Proficient with Microsoft Office, specifically Excel and Word.
