Description

The Movable Bridge Business Unit of Modjeski and Masters is seeking Entry Level Mechanical Engineers for either the Mechanicsburg, PA or the Philadelphia, PA office.


What we are looking for:

  • A minimum of a BS degree in Mechanical Engineering from an ABET accredited college or university
  • Be capable of performing a mixture of office and field work.
  • Registered Engineer in Training or within 6 months of obtaining
  • Ability to perform mechanical design and detailing of bridge components
  • Ability to show effective technical writing and presentation skills
  • Ability to perform field tasks at heights


What you'll do:

  • Review and check standard mechanical design calculations
  • Perform limited mechanical analysis, design, and selection of movable bridge machinery components
  • Use general analysis software, manufacturer-specific software, and in house programs under the direct guidance of the ME Supervisor and Senior Mechanical Engineers
  • Develop preliminary system layout and details using CAD software, provide information to CAD Technicians for the development of contract plans directly related to movable bridge design work
  • Design in a 3D environment such as Inventor and 2D CADD experience in AutoCAD preferred.
  • Perform additional duties and responsibilities as assigned, including field and construction service assignments
