This is your opportunity to turn hands-on experience into a rewarding career in Supply Chain. Interstates is currently seeking a Gear and Lighting Quotations Specialist to join our Supply Chain Team. In this role, you'll apply your electrical knowledge to support project teams by ensuring vendor quotes and estimates accurately align with client and project needs. You'll serve as a trusted resource for both internal teams and external partners-helping set our jobsite teams up for success before work ever begins. Responsibilities: RFQ Analysis: Review incoming Requests for Quotation (RFQs) for accuracy and completeness, including plans, specifications, and counts. Project Take-offs: Assist in doing take offs and have the ability to interpret electrical drawings to create detailed Bills of Material (BOM). Solicit Bids: Solicit bids from strategic vendor partners and adhering to Interstates vendor strategy Pricing Negotiation: Coordinate with supply chain leadership and vendors to obtain competitive pricing and lead times. Value Engineering: Recommend alternative products to meet customer budget constraints while maintaining project integrity. Strategic Bidding: Collaborate with project teams to determine bid strategies, and follow-up on active quotes to secure projects. Documentation: Review technical submittals, and maintain project files Required Skills & Qualifications Technical Knowledge: Understanding of power distribution equipment (LV / MV) lighting products, controls, and electrical systems. Software Proficiency: Experience with quoting software (Oasis, Bluebeam), PDF editing (Adobe), and Microsoft Office (Excel). Strong, professional verbal and written communication skills is required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Time Management, be able to manage and prioritize own workload Customer-orientation, problem-solving, and teamwork competencies a must Organized and a strong attention to detail Experience negotiating with vendors Experience reading electrical drawings and customer specifications. - Medium Voltage Experience preferred but not required Ability to calculate discounts, margins, and measurements from drawings. Electrical Field/Engineering Experience preferred Education: 3-5 years' experience in Electrical estimating, Supply Chain Management, Electrical Sales, or related field/electrician experience. Location: This position may be based out of our Sioux Falls, SD, Sioux Center, IA, or Omaha, NE offices. (Hybrid or Remote opportunity) Travel:Travel will be required up to 25% of the time.
